Ways to Pay

Child support payments are collected and processed by a single entity, the CA State Disbursement Unit (SDU). Payments do not post to your account until the payment is received at the SDU.

Pay Online:

Electronic payments can be made online using your Visa card, MasterCard, checking account or savings account. https://childsupport.ca.gov/state-disbursement-unit/​

Pay by Phone:

Call 1-866-901-3212 (option 1). Electronic payments can be made using your Visa card, MasterCard, checking account or savings account.

Pay by Mail:

Mail a check or money order to: CA SDU, PO BOX 989067, West Sacramento, CA 95798-9067.

Pay in Person at the Department:

Pay at a kiosk in any Local Child Support Services Agency in California. For a cash, check or money order payment to post by the first of the month, you must pay in the office by the 18th of the month to allow time for the payment to be processed and mailed to the State Disbursement Unit. Credit Card and electronic check payments will post on your account within the same day if made by 3pm.

Pay Using MoneyGram:

You will need your child support Participant ID number and Receive Code 14630 for California child support payments sent to “CA SDU”. MoneyGram charges a $1.99 fee. Notice: It takes approximately 3 days for your payment to be posted to your child support account.

Pay Using PayNearMe at 7-11 Stores

In Tehama County, there is a 7-11 Store in Corning. There are also 7-11 Stores in Anderson and Redding (within 30 miles).

PayNearMe is at 7-Eleven, Family Dollar, CVS Pharmacies, and Ace Cash Express

Instructions:

  1. Get at personal PayNearMe barcode on the PayNearMe’s website at this link: PayNearMe website or call your local child support office.
  2. Present the barcode to the cashier (you can reuse the code for future payments)
  3. PayNearMe charges a $1.99 convenience fee
  4. It may take 3-4 days for your payment to post to your child support account.
